The 75inQ foundation works to accelerate the transition to sustainable energy by promoting gender equality in line with the Sustainable Development Goals developed by the United Nations.

75inQ specifically focuses on the convergence of two of these goals, namely SDG7 and SDG5; the crossroads of the transition to sustainable and affordable energy and gender equality.

These goals converge from the boardroom to the living room;

The boardrooms within the energy sector are dominated by male directors. (van den Brakel et al., 2020)
The consequences of energy poverty are predominantly borne by women. (Straver et al., 2020)
The gender component in the energy transition becomes more visible when the growing labor shortage and faltering labor participation in the energy sectors are viewed through a gender lens (Feenstra and Creusen, 2021) as a result of which innovation, strength and speed lag behind the ambitions of the Paris Agreement and reduce CO2 emissions

75inQ has the ambition to accelerate the energy transition by focusing on gender equality and thus making a positive impact from the boardrooms to the living rooms.
